The Beginning of a Dream Laundry Room

We went to Home Depot to order a GE front load washer and dryer, only to find out that they are no longer making the the same model anymore and we would only be able to purchase the washer. Well, needless to say we are not the dry your clothes on a line out back type, so we opted to find another option. Fortunately for us, they were having a sale on every appliance. And we saw these...

...the Maytag 2000 series washer and dryer. It's sleek, stylish, and on sale! Turns out these beauties were the second cheapest front load option in the store. And now they have a nice new home in our laundry room.

After pushing buttons (look at all of those features!), I picked a setting and got to washing! These bad boys are amazing -- they don't rattle around and shake and for being in a space that echos, they are rather quiet. Love.

Now that we have the perfect set, we are going to create the perfect laundry room. After seeing this laundry room from Anything Pretty, I am determined that I had to have a swoon worthy laundry space too!

And, lucky for me, David agrees! So stay tuned for laundry room updates as we tackle this project over the next couple months.

A Bed Fit for King & Queen

Soon David and I will be owners of this stunning bed from Joss and Main. If you enjoy a good bargain as much as we do, become a member and check out their limited time offerings. Each day a new sale opens with limited quantities of each product -- try your luck and you too could snag a good deal!

I think the bed is a mix between feminine and masculine with its soft fabric, crisp lines and button nail trim. And for only $550 including shipping (for a king size!), you can't beat the price! Use the code janjoiner for an extra $15 off your purchase through the end of February.

Now, it's time to pick a paint color for the master bedroom...

A Place to Nest

Buying a house is perhaps the scariest and most exhilarating process. It was not what I imagined at all, mostly because my knowledge of buying a home came from HGTV (oh the illusions!). But our dream has become a reality...and we have the keys to prove it! This blog will be a place for us to share our adventures as we begin to nest in our first place. Our front door is open, come on in!

(Don't mind the landscaping -- changes and updates soon!)
